ABOUT ALDI When we met for the first time... ... I couldn't believed, that small dog is going to be mine. I had dog never before, so it was really exciting situation for me. Aldi was four month-old dog, when I took him from his breeders. He was very peaceful and calm. When he bided farewell to his mum, there were no tears or any howling... He was really brave and strong. And he is that also nowadays. And, what was he like in his early age? I asked his breeder Julia to tell me something about Aldi-puppy: „First of all, he was very sprightly, originally meant for dogs sports, but as it has showed up after an eye examination, I had to adjust my intention with him. Lambkin (my note: they called him Lambkin, what is equivalent to slovak „Baránok“ - part of his name Aldebaran) liked to taste different delicacies, he was the only one who tasted also blackened muchroomes which grew up in a run. (luckily they were neither poisonous nor undigestible)...than snails....once I wasn´t even able to identify what he had eaten, he just started to have a diarrhoea. We started a diet and after two days he was OK. From all puppies this happened just to him and so I figured out, he loved to taste all things. He followed every naghtiness which originally Amdromeda (called Andulka) had initiated. For instance, when swipes were ripening and they had soft pits yet, Andulka with lambkin came up with a championship, who will jump higher, who will eat more swipes and who will be first. Just three of them participated in those championship: Andulka with lambkin and Arctur.. When I found out what they had been doing, I put some branches under, that they wouldn´t reach. But it did not discourage them at all, in contrast, I would say, it encouraged them to higher activity. In spite of their vivacity and playfulness, when I used to take them for walk by one, he was probably the only one who followed me by leg, didn´t keep running away, like he would understand, what I am saying and what I am expecting from him. From a distance of a time, I would define him as cheerful friendly, most importantlly very perceptive, but as well lively and active dog.“ Aldi is now one-year-old collie, and he didn't loose anything from his peaceful, gentle and aristocratic spirit. |
